Thankfulness...An Incredible Attitude

It is has been my experience that "Thankfulness is not so common response in people but at least in me"...but over a period of time I have come to know the importance of it and above all God expects it from his children.
In Bible we see the 10 lepers healed by the Lord from their most disgraceful state.After got healed Then out of ten 1 comes back to "thank Him".He wonders where are the others nine people...?
I was mulling over it.Was all the 9 also helead as same way as this one person...?why then these people did not turn out..?
it dawn on me
1) may be there are so busy in celebrating their healing ....
2) may be they totally forgot the prevoius state...etc...
Whatever may be the reasons behind.One thing stands out that its not so common in human nature.
All these people have reason to be thankful but what about me now...? what God did to me...?the answer was so obviuos to me. Coz I know deep down in my heart that "He laid down his life for me".
Ahhha...!!! what a great thing had happend.How could one be so numb about this with out any gratitude.

then pslamist words in 107-pslam opening verses...

"O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

became so fresh to me.

Now I know even though it is not common we can always cultivate this rare virtue by remembering what God did to me and His goodness towards his creation at large.
